Sunday Morning Adult Sunday School
The Way of Love: Practices for Jesus-Centered Life. September 15, 22 & 29 - Rm 207, Facilitated by Bill Richter
The Way of Love is a project of the National Episcopal Church. The series is a path of reflection, discernment and commitment around specific practices of the Christian Life: Turn – Learn – Pray – Worship – Bless – Go – Rest. This is not just a curriculum. It will offer participants specific suggestions for living as community and practicing our faith in our day to day lives. The Way of Love has the power to change each of our lives and to change this world.

Rob Bell is a much sought after author and speaker. We have used his materials quite often, here. For this outing, we will watch and discuss a film from his 2016 Tour: Everything is Spiritual. We will watch a portion, then reflect and discuss, week by week.
Spirituality and Mysticism (aka the Krishnamurti Café): Mondays 6:00 – 7:15 pm Rm 208, Facilitated by Kipp and Bill Richter
We are reading and studying, Think on These Things, by J. Krishnamurti. Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895-1986) was an Indian philosopher and spiritual teacher. The book is available on Amazon, we will provide discussion questions for each chapter. This café style group is not a series of lectures, but a discussion group where we all are free to air our own opinions about the topic. The café is an open and ongoing group.
Adult Tuesday Bible Study: Tuesdays 9:30 – 10:45 am Rm 208
This is an ongoing Bible study led by Bill Richter. Everyone is invited to join us for a time of study, fellowship and lively discussion. There are no materials to purchase, just bring your Bible to class. We currently are in The Books of the Minor Prophets.
Faith and Reason discussion series. Wednesday Night Short Course: 7:15 – 8:30, Facilitated by Bill Richter, September 18 and 25 Rm - Good Shepherd School Library
Faith and Reason is produced by the D.L. Dykes Foundation. The foundation hosts conferences and produces audio and video materials related to a variety of theological and spiritual pursuits. This video series consists of panel discussions on topics such as: The Nature of God and God, Jesus and Salvation. We will listen to the presentation and reflect on the content of each session.
Lectio Divina: Thursdays 9:30 – 10:30 am Rm 207
This is an open, ongoing group that gathers to pray and meditate with scripture. Call Janet Mansfield for more information. 281-360-5143
Christian Meditation: Saturdays 9:00 – 10:00 am Rm 206
This open and ongoing group is a part of the World Community for Christian Meditation. We gather at 9:00 and spend a few minutes for check-in and introductions. We listen to an audio presentation on a meditation related topic for 15-20 minutes and conclude with a 25-minute silent meditation. The group is facilitated by Kipp and Bill Richter.
