*"The New Light
Service is an exciting youth-friendly service that moves us toward
our vision of providing more dynamic and diverse worship services.
It begins at 10:15 a.m. on Sundays in the Great Hall and has a
casual, contemporary feeling. New Light has its own communion
service on the first Sunday of the month. On other Sundays, everyone
attending the alternative service moves into the Nave (main church)
during the Peace so that all may have communion together. This
service is appropriate for families and people of all ages and
features praise music and a teaching sermon.”

** Taizé Style Worship at Good Shepherd - A service in the style of the Taizé (Teh-ZAY) is offered on the second Sunday of each month a 6:30 pm in the Narthex. The Taizé style of Christian worship originated in a ecumenical religious community in the village of Taizé, France. With meditative singing, brief scripture readings, simple prayers, and periods of silence, Taizé helps to quiet the mind, open the heart , and feed the soul. Taizé worship is both meditative and beautiful, employing candlelight and icons to evoke a sense of holy presence that calms our "busy" souls. Whatever a person's beliefs or denomination, Taizé
services offer a time of quiet and solitude in the presence of God.
