The Women’s Book Group meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month from noon until about 1:30 p.m. in room 205 of the Mission Center. Bring your lunch if you like and join our lively discussion of the book of the month. This is a group for women who love to read and enjoy discussing books. Attendance each month is not required.

The Women's Book Club will meet mid- August for lunch out and to see the movie The Help, which we read last year. We will announce the time/place in the church bulletin and by e-mail.

We had a wonderful salad luncheon at the home of Lynn Young in July and chose the following books for this fall thru 2012: Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, I'm Not Finished by Sarah Merdian (daughter of GS member Jane Merdian), Cleopatra by StacySchiff, People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, Shanghai Girls by Lisa See, Lost Christianities : The Battles for Scripture and the Faiths We Never Knew by Bart Ehrman, and Caleb's Crossing by Geraldine Brooks....please join us the second Thursday of the month at noon in room 206 in the Mission Center and bring a lunch if you'd like for a great discussion of the month's book...we will meet September 8 for Water for Elephants.
